Health Unit Coordinator II (HUCII) in the Intermediate Care Unit PRN;OCC, ability to work any shift, up to 56 hours per pay period Position Summary: Provide clerical and secretarial services to the nursing unit. Position Qualifications: Minimum Education: None specified; will accept any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skill and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job, typically such as would be equivalent to a high school diploma or GED. Preference may be given to individuals possessing a HS diploma or GED Minimum Experience: Must be a CNA at the time of hire or be a HUC I, PCA or CNA with six or more (6+) months of experience at a Covenant Health facility and complete the Covenant Health's Patient Care Assistant training protocol OR For HUC II working in Cardiac Areas- completion of Apex modules 1-6 and/or telemetry class completed prior to hire or placement in a HUC II role. Registered Nurse, Family Birthing Center Part-Time 48 hours per pay period, Days JOB OBJECTIVES: Assume direct responsibility and accountability for, and authority of, the nursing care of all patients assigned. EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Must have knowledge of: Etiology, pathophysiology and prognosis for illnesses and health problems; The nursing process; The management process; Current developments in nursing; Hospital functions, policies, procedures and regulations as they relate to nursing service. For staff involved in the care of age-specific groups, knowledge of the bio-psychosocial needs of adult, geriatric and pediatric patients is essential. Special knowledge is required in growth and development needs of pediatric/geriatric patients where applicable. EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in department specialty preferred. 1 year Labor and Delivery experience preferred. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS: Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Tennessee Board of Nursing, or have a temporary permit to practice. Patient Care Assistant, Med Surg Unit Full Time, 72 Hours Per Pay Period, Night Shift. BLS upon hire. Functions as a direct patient caregiver performing tasks to assist registered nurses. Performs hands-on care, assistance with ADL's and specified technical tasks for a group of patients under the supervision of the Team Leader. The Medical Unit is a fast paced 46-bed unit that hosts a wide variety of patients. Our team mix includes RNs, LPNs and CNA/PCAs. A typical nurse assignment would include Patient Assessment, Medication Administration, Plan of Care, Blood Administration, Wound Care and Assisting Physicians with bedside procedures all while working with the complete team to provide comprehensive care to our patients. Minimum Experience: Hospital experience preferred. Medical terminology a plus. Must be able to operate computer and possess excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to read with comprehension, write legibly, and perform basic arithmetic computation. Must have understanding and knowledge of patient care which may be appropriately delegated to nursing assistants. Must successfully complete Covenant's orientation and Nursing Assistant in-house training program before being permitted to work with patients. Licensure Requirement: Nursing Assistant certification from state of Tennessee preferred. CPR required.

Respiratory Therapist, Respiratory Therapy Full-time, 72 hours per pay period, nights JOB OBJECTIVES : Provides care to patients with respiratory insufficiency and related complications. Functions as part of the direct patient team to provide overall quality care and serves as a resource and specialist to patients, all patient care givers and physicians. May be required to exercise clinical judgment under the order of a licensed physician. Education/ Knowledge/ Skills: Must have an Associate Degree from an accredited school of respiratory therapy. Experience: Must have documented experience necessary to obtain state license. For staff involved in the care of age-specific groups, knowledge of the bio-psychosocial needs of adult, geriatric and pediatric patients is essential. Special knowledge is required in growth and development needs of pediatric/geriatric patients where applicable. Licensure/Certficaitons: Valid RRT Credential by the National Board for Respiratory Care. Licensed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist by the State of Tennessee Health Related Boards with ABG endorsement. Current work-permit acceptable per state regulations. Current BLS.
