This established office is a team of 6 physicians and 4 advanced practitioners who are dedicated to delivering comprehensive, compassionate primary care of the highest quality.

The Coordinator of Student Services/Administrative Assistant shall assume administrative duties for all student services provided in the Nursing Department, facilitate stated responsibilities independently, using sound judgment and discretion, and maintain confidentiality as required.
Implement effective registration and check-in procedures for the nursing students in collaboration with the TWU Business/Financial Aid/Registrar’s Offices. Direct the registration procedures for the nursing department, including drop/add and withdrawals. Facilitate nursing check-ins with the participation of TWU Admissions/Registrar/Financial Aid/Bookstore representatives.
Coordinate orientation sessions for new nursing students prior to entry into upper division coursework.
Maintain nursing student records and facilitate completion of degree requirements for graduating seniors, i.e. completion of all general education (WE’s) and nursing coursework in collaboration with TWU Registrar’s Office.
Coordinate final semester activities including deadlines, senior lunches, state board information, senior salute, pinning, collecting security cards. Conduct sessions with the graduating students regarding state board requirements, forms, fees, etc. Scheduling photographer for state board/class composite pictures. Maintain list of Alumni.
Maintain statistical reports for program evaluation related to student enrollment, retention, recruitment, grades, achievement test scores, graduation and employment. Provide figures for current student enrollment, minorities, GPAs, etc., when needed.
Coordinate the review of scholarship applications for students in the Nursing Department in collaboration with the TWU Financial Aid Office. Make recommendations for scholarship awards in accordance with established criteria. Process the request for transfer of funds.
Facilitate the ordering of textbooks for the Nursing Department. Distribute textbook information to students.
Facilitate the nursing faculty advising program. Assign advisees, distribute advising sheets to faculty, notify advisors of student documentation deficiencies and at-risk potential, facilitate the processing of advising completion forms, and register students for courses via myPortal after advisement weeks.
Assist in the nursing department admissions process by figuring GPA’s of applicants prior to Admissions Committee review of applicants.
Coordinate Clinical Affiliation Requirements. Facilitate the renewal of contracts for clinical affiliation agencies. Collect and maintain records of faculty/student immunizations. Provide information to affiliating agencies as requested.
Maintain and coordinate accounting records for the Nursing Department in collaboration with the TWU Business Office. Review budget reports for compliance and assist Associate Dean in furnishing budget information to the Athens Campus.
Order supplies for nursing department.
Collaborate with TWU Campus Information Department and serve as Network Administrator for the nursing department providing technological assistance to faculty and students.
Collaborate with TWU Marketing Department for development and production of recruitment material, advertisements, brochures, invitations and programs used by the Nursing Department.
Collaborate with the TWU Admissions Department and participate in undergraduate student recruitment activities for the Nursing Department (college transfer fairs) as needed.
Perform other duties as delegated by the Associate Dean for Nursing.
Associate or Bachelor’s degree or work-related experience in higher education.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency with computers and office equipment.
Time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
